Privacy Policy

Overview
PhoEdit provides browser-based image and PDF tools. This policy describes file processing, contact submissions, logs, analytics, advertising, consent choices, and the third-party services the current site code may contact.
Image and PDF processing
PhoEdit is designed to process files in your browser whenever possible. Tools such as image resizing, compression, conversion, image-to-PDF, and PDF compression work through browser-side JavaScript, canvas, Web Workers, or WebAssembly libraries. In these workflows, your selected file is used by your browser to generate the result and is not intentionally uploaded to PhoEdit for storage.
Background removal, object removal, image upscaling, and PDF compression may load JavaScript, WebAssembly runtimes, or model files from a content delivery network or models.phoedit.com. Your browser sends ordinary resource-request information, such as IP address, user agent, requested asset, referrer where provided, and time, to the relevant host. Loading these assets is not the same as intentionally uploading the selected image or PDF to PhoEdit for storage.
Contact form and Web3Forms
The Contact page submits your name, email address, selected topic, and message by HTTPS POST to Web3Forms so the message can be delivered to PhoEdit. Web3Forms may also process request metadata, including IP address, browser type, timestamps, and referrer, for delivery, security, spam prevention, and service operation. The form does not intentionally add your name, email address, or message to the page URL, Google Analytics parameters, or an advertising request.
PhoEdit retains the delivered message only as long as reasonably needed to respond, track the support issue, meet legal obligations, or prevent abuse. Web3Forms states that form-submission data may be retained for up to three years unless a shorter plan period applies or it is deleted earlier. Its infrastructure and subprocessors may process data in multiple regions.
See the Web3Forms Privacy Policy for its current processing, retention, subprocessors, transfers, and data-rights details. Do not submit sensitive documents, passwords, payment details, or private images through the form.
Google Analytics
PhoEdit uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and improve tools. Depending on consent, configuration, and Google settings, Google Analytics may receive the page URL, referrer, interaction events, IP address, approximate location, device and browser information, and cookies or other identifiers. PhoEdit does not intentionally send contact-form field values to Google Analytics.
You can learn about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google AdSense and advertising
On ad-enabled pages, PhoEdit uses Google AdSense. Google and participating third-party vendors may place or read cookies in your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers, as a result of ad serving. These technologies may be used to deliver, limit, measure, protect, and improve advertising.
Where personalized advertising is allowed and you have made the required choice, ads may be selected using information about previous visits to PhoEdit or other sites. If ad personalization is off, ads may still be based on the current page, current search terms, general location, fraud-prevention signals, and other contextual information.
You can review or change Google ad personalization in Google Ads Settings. Additional industry opt-out tools include YourAdChoices and Your Online Choices; availability and effect vary by region, browser, and vendor.
Consent and privacy choices
For visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, PhoEdit's Google tags default advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, and analytics storage to denied while a choice is pending. A Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) must be published and configured to collect and communicate valid choices for these regions. The site does not use a custom accept-only banner.
After the certified CMP is active, use Privacy & cookie settings in the footer of an ad-enabled page to reopen the CMP and change or withdraw your choices. You can also control cookies and storage through your browser. Some essential security or delivery requests may still occur where permitted or required.
Other third-party resources
Depending on the page and file type, your browser may request code, fonts, runtimes, or model assets from Google domains, cdn.tailwindcss.com, jsDelivr, unpkg, Skypack, and models.phoedit.com. These providers receive ordinary web-request data such as IP address, user agent, requested resource, referrer where provided, and time. Their own privacy and retention terms govern their processing.
PhoEdit hosting and security systems may create server logs containing IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, response status, and timestamp. Logs are used for reliability, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting and are retained under the hosting and security providers' settings.
Retention and your responsibilities
PhoEdit does not maintain user accounts and does not intentionally retain files selected for browser-side processing. Google, Web3Forms, hosting, security, and CDN providers retain data according to their configurations and published policies.
Keep original backups before editing. Process only content you own or are authorized to use. For regulated, confidential, or high-value files, decide whether a browser utility and its listed third-party resource requests are appropriate before selecting the file.
Questions and requests
For privacy questions or requests concerning PhoEdit, email support@phoedit.com or use the Contact page. Requests concerning a third-party provider may also need to be directed to that provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as tools, providers, or legal requirements change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
